Drafting and negotiating are free. Each contract is paid once, when it is first downloaded or its signature starts.

When the contract is first downloaded, or when its signature starts, whichever comes first.

Contracts in deals created before 30 September 2026 are not charged. This includes every contract agreed before that date.

The same $29 per contract

Each contract is paid with one prepaid credit. A contract made in one call spends it when it is made; a negotiated contract spends it when the agent first fetches the document of the agreed contract.
Credits are sold in packs of 10, at 25 percent off: $217.50 a pack.
Credits belong to the customer account. Every API key of the account spends from the same balance, and rotating or revoking a key loses no credits.
The balance and purchases are available through the agent API and through MCP: get_credit_balance, buy_credits.

Does a paid contract stay available?: Yes. Once paid, the contract can be downloaded again from its deal page (PDF, DOCX or TXT), and its signature can go ahead. When every party has signed, the signed copy is offered on the signing page. If a payment is refunded in full, the contract becomes unpaid again: what you have already downloaded stays with you, but the next download or signature needs a new payment. A partial refund leaves the contract paid. A full refund of a credit pack takes its credits back from the balance; contracts already paid with credits stay paid.
Is there a subscription?: No. There is no subscription and no monthly fee.
What about the self-hosted kit?: The kit runs Dealroom on your own infrastructure, with no per-contract charge. Premium skills for the kit cost 60 a year each (in your currency) and are bought on the todo.law storefront. Go to the storefront
